CAMELLIA SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR ITS 49th SEASON

Sacramento, CA — The Camellia Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is holding open auditions for its 2011/2012 Season on Monday, June 6 at Sutter Middle School (Alhambra and I Streets) in the Music Room from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.The award-winning community orchestra has positions available for a Principal String Bass.  Interested musicians should prepare music that demonstrates both technical and artistic skill (i.e. orchestral excerpts and/or solo repertoire, as well as scales). Auditions are generally 10 minutes with approximately 5-6 minutes of music and discussion.

The Camellia Symphony Orchestra’s 49th Season will include four Season Concerts performed at The Center at 2300 Sierra Blvd. and the Memorial Auditorium as well as four Free Family Concerts performed throughout Sacramento County. Rehearsal dates generally are scheduled on Monday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.
